Objective:
For this project, the objective was to take an album cover of our choosing, redesign it in a new way, and provide our interpretation of the album and its meaning. The goal of the redesigned cover is to successfully portray our own interpretation of the album, while maintaining the themes and messages of the original.
Album Chosen:
Zach Bryan - Zach Bryan
Inspiration:
Recurring themes of love, loss, resilience, and overall self-reflection. From this, the themes that carried through strongest were love, loss, and self-reflection.
I found two other album covers that I wanted to pull inspiration from, also in the same genre, and began to shoot my cover image.
Initial photoshoot:
My goal was to have my cover image connect seamlessly with the back cover, so that when the CD case is opened, the case will create one long image.
